Pre-trial notes
Note in presbytery records warrant from Lord Chancellor to deal with accused and bring her 'to confession'. Confessed to the ministers of Tranent and other witnesses. The records state that they went to the Committee of Estates for a commission because there wasn't a quorum of the Privy Council. She had previously been put out of Preston and forced to beg forgivness for cursing and blowing in people's faces.
