- Pre-trial notes
- Following a complaint that the authorities refused to try after 11 weeks in prison the PC ordered her tried within 15 days. She also complained about being held in prison in irons for 12 weeks, without any visitors, and without seeing her dittay. She requested that the bailies not be in charge of her trial, so the PC sent two advocates to act as assessors. The bailies were required to hand her dittay in to the PC so they could give it to her defence council. They were ordered to allow her to see visitors in prison.
